Why Ventuz?
In 1994, the developers of Ventuz where deeply involved in the first transmission of a virtual studio, giving us the chance to work with real-time technology early. The main advantage of also using real time technologies for presentations lies in the ability of changing content very easily.
Especially in large-scale presentations, pre-produced content is often too inflexible. Changing a single word may cause extreme effort. Large LED screens with a resolution greater than high definition cannot be fed from a single source when using conventional methods. Herein rests another great advantage of using PC based real-time graphics. Modern professional cards can deliver resolutions greater than HD.
Modern cards can even be linked together and frame-locked to enhance performance. Ventuz was developed to be an alternative for all conventional methods. It translates DirectX commands into a graphical user interface that is intuitive to learn. It is completely written in .NET managed code. Ventuz started as an in-house project specifically developed for projects. During the development, the most important thing has always been usability.
The goal is to use the power of .NET in order to build an easy to use application that enables creative people to take full advantage of DirectX without having to produce a single line of code.
