Ventuz reaches the ISE

This year was not our first time to visit the Integrated Systems Europe, one of the largest exhibitions for audiovisual technology in the world. But it was the first time that we walked across the floors seeing Ventuz presentations all over the place. Beware – Ventuz is coming your way!

Ventuz

The Integrated Systems Europe took place from February 2nd through 4th in Amsterdam. With more than 500 exhibitors in eight halls this fair covers everything that is new and hot on the market. This year, that included Ventuz.

Ventuz

The German company Eyevis, manufacturer of phenomenal display solutions, showed a wall made of nine 70-inch, high definition rear projection cubes with a total of 5760 by 3240 pixels. The agency Stereolize created an interactive presentation about the different Eyevis-products, their specifications and uses. Via a touch screen the onlooker could select different topics. The navigation via a rotation laser in front of the cubes allowed the choice between the products and many references with impressive imagery and 3D-objects.

Lang AG sported two interactive installations which included Ventuz and the radarTOUCH, which we have used so many times before ourselves. The first was a nice eye catcher in which four screens showed images of people in costumes. By a flick of the wrist the onlooker could shuffle through the images by screen, meaning that for example you could put the head of one image on the body of another.

The second was a three-screen-setup. A Ventuz-presentation about the radarTOUCH was displayed on the middle one.

The agency Deutsche Werbewelt created an installation for the booth of Epson. Via a touch screen you could select one of the nine planets of our solar system or the sun, which were then projected onto the floor of the booth. Via the radarTOUCH the planet (or the sun) could be scaled up and down and rotated. Another nice eye catcher to make people stop at one’s stand.

On the booth of the company Sharp we found an installation that we had seen before. Created by Christian Kuntze, the father of the radarTOUCH, this installation gives a choice between different ‘machines’, including a car and a turbine, which can again be scaled up and down and rotated.

Ventuz

We were naturally very happy to see so many people and companies appreciate the advantages of Ventuz, the great 3D-designs and the unusual interactivity. Nonetheless we also came across a lot of PowerPoint, boring slide-shows and image films. It is sad to see so many wonderful displays being abused in that way. Hopefully next year there will be even more up-to-date presentations at the ISE.
