Evonik impresses with Ventuz powered booth

To introduce their new marketing concept, specialty chemistry expert Evonik sported a booth at the ECS in Nürnberg which replaced printed information with multimedia installations.

The European Coating Show is a major event for paints, adhesives and sealing agents. For market leader Evonik it is an event to do mainly one thing: impress. To achieve this goal, Evonik hired LK AG, a German event service agency with over 20 years of experience. They came up with one concept that spread across the entire booth and could only be realized with Ventuz.

The center piece of the installation was a movable touch screen which was placed in front of a Lotus sports car. The screen displayed an x-ray image of the car, highlighting the synthetic components made by Evonik which were used in the car. Each component could be selected via touch and more information was shown.





The second installation was actually displayed twice, on each side of the booth, and spread across several devices. It consisted of a mood animation which started on a 20 display wall with a liquid animation, then continued via LED tiles in the floor and ended in individual touch-display columns. On these columns, the mood animation could be interrupted at any point to show a company presentation. In summary, LK AG used 40 seamless displays, 12 touchscreens and a total 18 machines running Ventuz in a cluster.

Evonik was very happy with their booth and the feedback was impressive. Several visitors called it the most innovative booth of the whole trade show.
