CPP Studios wins Viscom Best Practice Award

Agency: CPP Studios Event GmbH

Here is another example for the many ways to succeed when using Ventuz – winning awards. Congratulations!

The German agency CPP Studios was recently awarded the Viscom Best Practice award in the category ‘Information Signage’. The project which they won this award for is one of the most complex digital signage installations ever realized with Ventuz. It is called CampusMedia.

CPP Studios created this complete digital signage solution for their customer IBM Germany. CampusMedia is a signage system that spreads useful and interesting information for employees and visitors throughout the many buildings of German IBM headquarters in Ehningen. On more than 100 individually programmable screens and projectors and on the large video wall, live content is generated at 60 frames per second and has been running smoothly since April 2011.

One of the central requests of IBM was that a handful of staff members who had no background in design or programming would be able to add and change content easily and quickly. Therefore, CPP Studios created an easy-to-use, template based content management system with its own database. Additionally, design and content elements are strictly divided, so that the high-end look is always ensured. Instead of purchasing an existing system, CPP decided to program the backend themselves and use Ventuz as the realtime frontend.

The Viscom Jury commented that they were truly impressed by the combination of high-end visual quality and the extremely efficient editing system and media network. We are proud to have been a part of this and congratulate CPP Studios for this wonderful project and the success they are having with it.
