Microsoft @ CeBIT 2012 – Three Layers of Greatness
Agency: stereolize
German agency stereolize developed a new concept for the Microsoft booth at this year’s CeBIT and also came up with a unique and entertaining style of presentations.

By now we know that every year stereolize goes out of their way to make the Microsoft presentations at CeBIT a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And we have to admit: we do get the impression that we have seen it all. And every year stereolize manages to amaze us yet again by showing us something we were not expecting. What else to say but WOW!

This year’s screen had a size of fourteen by five meters and consisted of state-of-the-art 4mm-LED-panels. Not only was the entire screen interactive through the proven radarTOUCH laser technology, but the content consisted of three individual layers. The first layer held the 3D realtime presentations which were created beforehand by the amazing stereolize team. The second layer was a live video feed which was generated on stage. The third layer was created by an artist on stage who added live drawings to the presentations to highlight certain areas or just put in a little bit of fun.

This entirely new concept of live presentations fit perfectly into the innovative setup on stage. Instead of having one presentation simply follow another, the idea was to create an interview atmosphere with a host who led the audience through the day. Next to the artist who added the drawings, a band was there as well to support the talk show character of the event.

The Microsoft presentations are always a great success and much talked about on the exhibition floor. But this year’s setup even made it on national television. Chapeau!
