Anna tanzt - Non-profit theater project
'Anna tanzt' was a project by the Bavarian State Ballet which brought together the young and the old to discuss that which draws them apart and brings them together at the same time - age!
'Anna tanzt' was created as a non-profit dance and theater project by the Bavarian State Ballet. The idea was to bring non-professional actors on stage. The main target groups were students at the age of around 14, and elderly people. The rather large cast was then involved in an experiental process in which everyone had his or her share in creating the play. What came out was in interesting view on the question of age, growing of age and growing old. Although many contradicting views were presented, the gap between the two groups could be closed through the interaction and dancing on the stage.
The vision of director Horst Kornietzny was to implement interviews into the perfomance, which he had recorded with members of the cast beforehand. Also fragments of text needed to be projected to the background of the stage. But instead of preproducing a film with a set chronology of sequences, he required something that could be arranged at will even during the perfomance. Ventuz seemed just like the right solution. We were happy to help and are proud to have been a part of this project. Our friends from the Munich based agency stereolize took over the on- and offsight support and helped with the setup and the building of the scenes.
