Ventuz in Theatre

Agency: Artcom

On Febuary 25th the musical Baron Prášil (Baron Munchhausen) premiered in the city of Prague. The specialty: all coulisses were made in grey and colored by a Ventuz projection.

A premiere of long expected musical Baron Prášil (Baron Munchhausen) took place in Prague on February 25. The performance was accompanied by a huge publicity, not just because it had been supposed to be the most expensive musical in Czech Republic ever, but also because the whole scene was based on a videomapping technology. All coulisses are made in a light grey colour and the whole performance is projected.

As a basic technological platform for realization of the whole performance VENTUZ was chosen, in the first place thanks to its openness and wide options in the area of shaping.

The whole performance was created in a studio, where the exact models of 3D coulisses where made and imported into VENTUZ. The creation of particular scenes continued in the theatre. There are over 200 scenic changes in the performance. VENTUZ is controlled via midi by lights and sound.

The musical is going to have at least 200 reprises and is sold out several months in advance.
