The original way of producing 3D content was always divided into three consecutive steps: design, production and rendering. While the first two steps were used to actually create content, the third step, the rendering phase, was a mere technical necessity in which the project was calculated picture by picture and then merged into a film or animation.

The render process used to take rather long and limited the designers and producers, since the actual outcome of their work wouldn’t be viewable until the render process was completed. If the any changes had to made, the render process needed to be started all over again. This made the production of 3D content time consuming and ineffective.

The continuous progress of hardware, mostly promoted by the gaming industry, introduced a new technique.

By shifting the calculation work from the slow processor of the computer to the graphic card, which offered a higher performance, the render process was sped up and real-time was introduced.

Ventuz uses this technology to generate its projects in real-time. For Ventuz this means, that the image is calculated 60 times per second, therefore at any given moment the latest version of the image is viewable.

This enables you to evaluate your final outcome as you are producing, thus making you more flexible and allowing you to work spontaneously and creatively.

Also, direct access to the project and instant changes are made possible. Imagine your costumer requesting a last minute change to his presentation.

In the old days the time needed for re-rendering the project had to be calculated, and many times a change was impossible. With Ventuz, changes can be made until the very last second, sometimes even while the presentation is already running.
