Immersive tech meets Hollywood: Ventuz brings 'Ghost in the Shell' to life

Hashim Goodsir who created an installation for the release of the movie “Ghost in the Shell“ shares:

“Clients ask for the ability to interact with physical objects that drive digital content. This goes beyond touchscreens, every-one can use that technology on their phones. We have been increasingly using markers on objects, which trigger certain events in the content when they are placed on the screen. This is a great solution for configurators or product presentations, because it adds the haptic level to the sensory experience.”

Bringing “Ghost in the Shell“ to life: An interactive experience by Ventuz

When Paramount Pictures set out to promote their blockbuster “Ghost in the Shell“ in London, they wanted an immersive experience that would captivate fans and bring the movie’s cyberpunk aesthetic to life. Over the course of a three-day cocktail event at the renowned Lights of Soho art gallery and bar, they showcased original movie props, an interactive photo booth, and a stunning digital installation that set the perfect futuristic atmosphere.

One of the standout features of the event was the interactive video wall we installed on the venue’s front window. Powered by Ventuz, this installation included image galleries, text boxes, and dynamic visuals, all designed to recreate the film’s high-tech, neon-lit world. Using touch film glass, a flexible and innovative technology, we enabled seamless interaction, allowing visitors to engage with the content in a way that felt straight out of the movie’s universe.

The result? A visually striking, high-tech experience that immersed guests in the world of Ghost in the Shell. Paramount loved it, and we can’t wait to collaborate on their next big release.

“Ventuz is very suitable for in-studio touch appli-cations, especially for elections and the like. We have done a few of these projects. Additionally, we equipped two entire stations with a com-plete Ventuz-powered graphics workflow: 24 Live and Arise News.“
