Digital Media Studio (DMS), a key division of the DMT Group, played a central role in delivering the Ocean Digital Creative Competition 2021 awards ceremony. Utilizing Ventuz technology, DMS crafted a seamless hybrid event that combined a live experience at London’s National Gallery with a high-quality global broadcast.

The Ocean Ceremony project served as a key test for remote production workflows. One DMS/DMT team managed on-site setup, including cameras and displays, while another team remotely integrated live streams from the National Gallery, award winners, and nominees into Ventuz-generated virtual graphics. The final composite was output via Ventuz and streamed on Vimeo.
Blackmagic Design equipment played a crucial role, with 4K studio cameras, Atem mixers, and WebPresenter 4K devices facilitating seamless video signal management. Ventuz ensured frame-accurate rendering and color fidelity, meeting the project’s high standards.Looking ahead, DMT and DMS are expanding into new Hertford facilities, complete with a showroom for showcasing Ventuz-based solutions. With a focus on both creativity and technical expertise, DMS is preparing for the future of interactive and connected workflows.
