Realtime Thrills: Rayd and Rawmotion bring the action and drama of freestyle sports to life
Alexander Dörr, the founder and CEO of Rawmotion explains:
I realised that there were no professional fully integrated end-to-end data management workflows for the freestyle sports vertical.
“We believe in what we call advanced storytelling, which means using data to explain what's happening and to capture the audience's attention.”
From freestyle sports to motorsports, Rayd and Rawmotion excel in blending real-time data with storytelling.A pioneer in real-time graphics, Rayd's founder Oliver Grimm honed his expertise in the 1990s broadcast sector, working on FIFA 2002 World Cup graphics before adopting Ventuz in 2003. In 2005, he founded Rayd, focusing on broadcast, corporate events, and interactive experiences.
Today, Rayd remains a leader in real-time solutions, delivering cutting-edge broadcasts, AR/VR, and interactive events for top clients like Audi, Volkswagen, and Rohde & Schwarz.

Rayd partnered with Rawmotion in 2007, when Alexander Dörr sought real-time graphics for freestyle winter sports. With experience in event data management, Dörr created a real-time solution in 2000 to manage data for events like snowboarding and freeskiing. Seeking flexible graphic systems for freestyle sports, he turned to Rayd. Their successful collaboration at the Air+Style snowboarding event in Innsbruck using Ventuz led to a lasting creative partnership.
