Once the installation is complete, you can choose to automatically start the Ventuz Launcher.

Open the launcher
The Ventuz launcher is the starting point of your journey inside the Ventuz software suite. Here you can see your projects, configure your machines, and find learning resources – from the Ventuz user manual or video tutorial series. Find the launcher in your Windows start menu and start it.
One the first start of the launcher the license manager will appear as an overlay, allowing you to either activate a license or obtain a new one.

You can start for free easily using the Community or PLE editions of Ventuz, just click the corresponding button in the launcher and our customer portal opens with the relevant editions already selected. Once the registration is done, you can continue in the launcher.

Start your Ventuz project
You can find a selection of demo projects already installed, or you can create your own very first Ventuz project in the launcher.
Change to the learning tab in the launcher to access a more extensive library of demo projects that help you get started and offer elements you can re-use in your own.

Starting to build in Ventuz Designer
When creating a project you usually start in the Ventuz Designer: this is the default option for Ventuz projects in the launcher.

Open the project in the Designer to start editing its scenes by importing and using assets, building your Ventuz logic and, ultimately, deploying the project as a Ventuz presentation or open project to your runtime machines.
See our vast library of learning resources to get started.

Starting to playout with Ventuz Runtime
Readily deployed projects or presentations can be opend in the Ventuz Runtime to play them back.

Configure your machine in the configuration tab of the launcher, access other Ventuz machines in the local network and manage and start your presentations here.
See the user manual on the configuration editor to learn more.

Starting to control with Ventuz Director
With the Ventuz Director you can control remote Ventuz machines. While it is of course, possible to do so with several different protocols and APIs as well, the Director offers highly customizable playout options with a template-based workflow, specialized for broadcast and events – features include page-creation to pre-fill templates with editorial content, playlists, timeline recording, multi-machine and multi-cluster control, real-time rendering for feedback, macro creation, further extension of functionality and UI with plugins and more.
See the user manual for more information on how to easily start with the Ventuz Director.
