Cinema 4D Integration – made possible by the Live Link

Cinema 4D modeling and import in real-time made possible by the Live Link! Create and alter your models in real-time.

KEY FEATURES

Live Link

Say goodbye to the Export and Import process – use Live Link! This feature allows you to link your Cinema 4D scene into Ventuz Designer and modify and update meshes in real-time. Save time when designing virtual sets, since you do not need to export and import your whole scene every time you make changes. If you move or scale your models, the result will be updated immediately in Ventuz Designer.

Cameras and Animations

Tag and import Cameras and their animations into Ventuz, change their values on the fly and feel like a director. Create meshes and animate them however you like and use the bake mesh option for Live Link to ensure things will be imported into Ventuz as you like.

Textures and Materials

Build your standard materials inside Cinema 4D and apply textures. Live Link will import all these values and textures into Ventuz. You can change the material values and textures at any time and Ventuz will display the changes in real-time.

Splines

One unique feature using the Live Link is to make use of 3D Splines. For now, this is the only way to get 3D Splines into Ventuz and make use of them as a path for several other Ventuz features. Use the generated path to draw particles along it, have an object follow the path, etc.

INTEGRATION DESCRIPTION

The Cinema 4D integration is made possible through a third-party plugin created by Ventuz. Live Link works by adding Ventuz Tags to Objects in your C4D project to make them linkable with Ventuz. You can decide to import a whole subtree or individual objects. After an Object has been tagged it will be made available for Ventuz by using the Live Import Node allowing you access to the objects from Cinema 4D.

Geometries, animations, materials, and textures are just a few of the possible elements that Ventuz can import. Animations can be based on keyframes, or you make use of the built in mesh-baker which creates an entire mesh sequence with a single click. The Cinema 4D Live-Link is an astonishing way of importing geometries into Ventuz and modify them in real-time. Live Link demonstrates Ventuz functionality and ability to quickly iterate through designs at its finest.
